NEU AUS POZNAŃ
Laut neuesten Kontrollen des polnischen Ministeriums für Infrastruktur (Juli 2010) verlaufen die Bauarbeiten an der neuen Autobahnstrecke besser als erwartet. Dem kalten Winter und hitzigen Sommer zum Trotz, schreitet der Bau an allen Strecken sehr schnell fort. Die meist umweltfreundliche von allen Verkehrsinvestitionen in Polen (die Kosten verbunden mit dem Umweltschutz belaufen sich auf ein Viertel der Gesamtkosten), soll bis Anfang Herbst 2011 durchgeführt werden. Bis Juni 2012 - ohne Autobahngebühren!
Am 29.06.2009 haben die Vertreter der "Autostrada Wielkopolska" die letzten Verträge über den Bau des 106 Km-langen A 2-Teilstücks Swiecko-Nowy Tomysl unterschrieben. Der Bau dieser letzten Autobahnstrecke mit 6 Auffahrten und 4 Tank- und Rastanlagen, die das westliche Polen mit Deutschland verbinden soll, endet voraussichtlich spätesten im November 2011.

The 19th edition of the MALTA International Theatre Festival ended at the end of June. The five Festival days featured 126 theatre performances, happenings, dance shows, concerts, workshops and film shows with a total duration of 181 hours. There were over 300 artists from 65 ensembles, including 46 from Poland and 29 from abroad. The audience was astimated for about 110.000 people. It was really a pleasure to be a part of it. MALTA's next edition will begin next year - on 25th of June 2010 (lasting until 03.07).

Poznan will host matches for the Euro 2012 football tournament.
Besides Poznan, Wroclaw and Warsaw also received good news.
The opening matches will be played in Warsaw and the final in Kiev.
UEFA administrators gave good marks to Poland for its progress to prepare for the tournament, but urged Ukraine to do more.

Am 12.12.2008 ist die Internationale Klima-Konferenz auf dem Messegelände Poznań zu Ende gegangen. Die Konferenz wird als ein organisatorischer Erfolg bewertet. Einzelheiten unter:
